“Why don’t you promote your own business more?”

A question I get asked often as a social media manager is, “Why don’t you promote your own business more?”

The honest answer is simple. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to build Social Strategy Solutions almost entirely through referrals and word of mouth. That trust means everything to me. It has allowed me to grow in a way that prioritizes quality, relationships, and results over rapid scaling.

Rather than expanding beyond what I can personally manage, I’ve intentionally chosen to keep my client roster at a level where I can give each business the time, creativity, and attention it deserves. My clients are never handed off or treated like just another account — their brands, goals, and growth truly matter to me.

Because of that philosophy, most of my energy goes into promoting the businesses I work with. Their success is my focus every single day. Constantly advertising my own services while carefully limiting new engagements has never felt fully aligned with how I operate.

For me, doing great work, building long-term partnerships, and letting results speak for themselves has always been the strategy.

And for that, I’m endlessly grateful!
